a superb location in the Antwerp fashion district

aplace/antwerp is located on a charming small square ‘De Vrijdagmarkt’. It finds itself in very close proximity of the ‘Groenplaats’, the Grand Square facing City Hall and many designer shops.

Everything you need (or don’t need) you’ll have at your finger tips: restaurants, bars, designer & furniture stores, supermarkets, bakery shops, hair salons, museums, etc.

in the nearby ‘Nationalestraat’ and in its neighborhood you can spend your money in the various designer shops of the famous “Antwerp Six” and other designers of international fame: Dries Van Noten, Filippa K, Diane von Furstenberg, Paul Smith, Stephan Schneider, Acne, APC, …
de Vrijdagmarkt square is a very quiet, small and folksy place that hasn’t been discovered by tourists yet. It lends itself perfectly to sipping coffee or to have a beer with locals, in one of the bars, – some of which are still original, old-fashioned outfits -,.

experience the weekly auction on Friday morning when the Vrijdagmarkt square is piled with furniture, old stuff and, perhaps, the treasure of your life time!
on this same square you’ll also find the world famous Plantin-Moretus museum. This is the only printing/publishing house in the world from the Renaissance and baroque times that still exists.
the Kloosterstraat, around the corner of de Vrijdagmarkt, is known for its antique & vintage shops. Here you find some concept stores as well.

All the shops in this street are open on Sundays!

“This square is a very special place in Antwerp. It stole my heart at a glance, and was the site in this beautiful city I was most eager to start my business, aplace/antwerp. Hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do!”
